Sorry I haven't posted as often the past two weeks, but thankfully I am back with an awesome product review for you. Last week was just as crazy as the one before, but things seem to finally be calming down and I seem to finally be adjusting. Anyway, I've been waiting to share this review with you and I'm happy to finally be able to share it. I was chosen by Valentia Skin Care through BrandBacker to try out their Even Glow Serum. I wanted to try it for at least a week to review it so now here it is.
First things first, my skin has been a bit of a mess lately. I've always dealt with acne and even though the cardinal rule is to not pop pimples, sometimes you just can't resist. I wish I'd followed the rule, but because I didn't I now have a few acne scars here and there. It doesn't help that lately I've been breaking out a lot since I've been eating too much junk food at work and I've been having a lot of late summer nights. So that's why I'm so thankful that I was able to try Valentia's Even Glow Serum.
The claim is that this antioxidant treatment will "repair, refresh, and renew your skin; restoring evenness to your complexion, giving you an extra boost of confidence each time you look in the mirror." It is meant to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles as well as dark spots. What I noticed the most however, is how well it hydrates my skin, which is one of the other claims, and how soft my skin has begun to feel. The way you use it is by putting a small amount of it to your face and neck, and letting it dry before applying moisturizer. It can be used morning or night or both, which is what I do.
Even though I'm only 22, I think it's never too late to start the anti-aging process early and this definitely is helping. While my skin is not completely free of dark spots and such, I do see an improvement in my complexion. My skin is softer, smoother and closer to having me achieve that dewy look I'm now obsessed with. And the fact that 98% of the ingredients, which include organic rose hip seed oil and organic sea buckthorn oil, are natural is a big plus. Another plus is that along with the purchase of the serum, Valentia provides you with a skincare guide that is filled with 20 recipes for facial treatments to make at home to help keep your skin looking gorgeously flawless!
If you are interested in adding this to your skincare routine, you can be purchase it on Amazon.
If you have used it before, try it or want to recommend anything for me to try, comment below :)

This serum looks nice! I've been really wanting to add something like this to my skin care routine
ReplyDeleteI totally agree it's never too late. Thank you sharing. This looks good
ReplyDeleteI completely agree about the anti aging routine. Never ever to early to start taking care of your skin. Keep enjoying those summer nights!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this. I have a very strict routine at night.
ReplyDeleteI've GOT to try this-- I'm in dire need of some anti-aging goodness!

I have that serum too and I really love it! I've only been using it for a few weeks now, but I think it definitely makes a difference.
ReplyDeleteI love that they included facial ideas, so clever
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great product :D You are right, it's never too early to fight off the signs of aging!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful product! I really want to try it!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting my order this week! I can't wait to try it out!!
ReplyDeleteLooks really neat! I could use it for my frown line between my eyes....
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool!! I love using natural skin care products too, have your tried Michael Todd before?
ReplyDeleteNever too early to start on good skincare!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that this works for you! I definitely need to start a better skincare routine.
ReplyDeleteRosehip oil is so good for the skin and it's good to see that it's in this product! I love facial oils, so I'll check this one out.
ReplyDeleteSerums can be so beneficial to your skin. I love that there are all natural ingredients.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really interesting product. I've never tried any serums, but always moisturise. I'm trying to moisturise at night instead of in the morning at the moment as my makeup just melts off my face all the time!

Good for you! I started really young with anti-aging skincare, I have dark skin and my grandmother has terrible wrinkles from growing up in the sun. So, with that and living in the sun I would like my skin to look a little less... disheveled. lol I'm glad this product has worked for you!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea starting young! I started at 28, after my son was born, but it really helps out! This sounds like a lovely serum! <3
ReplyDeleteOh same here.. I guess it could be the junk food.. it's so hard to give up though!! i started using anti-aging products at 25.. but it's preventative and doesn't help as much after you start showing signs of aging.. so it's good to start younger! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I started my anti-aging regimen a little earlier than I did. I'll have to look into this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! Great review!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great product! Really good job with the review!
ReplyDeletei need to get my skin care routine on point. Thanks for the tip
ReplyDeleteOhh... this serum sounds great - I want a dewy look to my skin and even tone as well. I have dry skin (no good as I age, dang it) and this would be great to provide some good nourishment and hydration.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that I need this unfortunately. I've been looking so dull and tired lately.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, it's never too early to start! My face is so different and going thru a crazy phase because of my pregnancy. Spots galore! Will def have to give this a try! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of serums. They seem so beneficial!
ReplyDeleteMy skin care routine is non existent...urgh. You are absolutely right that we need to take care of this now rather than later. I am just sometimes so overwhelmed by all the products out there, that I end up just not committing. Thanks for the share.

This use to be my dilemma in high school. I was overwhelmed by the amount of products and often bought many without really committing to them, which didn't let me narrow down which was making my acne better or worse. I'd say try a gentle cleanser first and some moisturizer/oil/serum and try one at a time
ReplyDeleteThey really are. Used to avoid them since I have oily skin, but they actually are beneficial to oily skin just as much as dry skin
ReplyDeleteAwww congrats on your pregnancy! This is a great way to pamper yourself :)
ReplyDeleteThat's how I was looking. This definitely helped me look a little more alive
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. A friend of mine had terribly dry skin and she would exfoliate every day but that's not really great for your skin. This would restore some much needed hydration
ReplyDeleteLet's hope. But it's better to try saving it now rather than having to spend money later on and well reversing aging is tough and expensive
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :) I'm glad I'm finally getting serious about mine lol
ReplyDeleteThanks, that means a lot to me. Really loving this product and my skin is the smoothest it's probably ever been except maybe for when I was a baby lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading. Glad you enjoyed the review!
ReplyDeleteNever too late to start :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I've been looking into eye creams and other anti-aging stuff as well. I'd like to be able to not shock the world with an extreme anti-aging process after they've already seen me wrinkle ridden and old so I'd rather start now and gradually age better.
ReplyDeleteI usually am more of a health nut, but boredom and having it right there makes it tough not to reach for it. And you're right. Starting early is better as the point is really to prevent, not erase.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a great serum. And it doesn't smell weird like some other ones I've tried. Thanks for your comment :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! I'm of Mexican descent and I live in California so I get plenty of sun and tan easily so I too don't want to look older than I really am down the line. Thanks for your comment btw :)
ReplyDeleteI have the same issue with makeup but still moisturize or at least use sunscreen to get some moisturizing in the morning. I'd recommend trying a primer if you don't use one already.
ReplyDeleteThey sure can! And the natural ingredients definitely sold me. Its 98% natural but that's better than most of the ones I've come across and it helps it smell not chemically
ReplyDeleteDo it! And also thanks for the comment :)
ReplyDeleteIt took me a while to get into one, but it's a good idea to aim for one.
ReplyDeleteNo never too early! Makes me wish I'd listen to my mom when she would tell me about skin care back in middle school. But c'est la vie.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is a good idea! Just by getting in the habit and starting with one or two products helps a lot. And think of it as pampering yourself :)
ReplyDeleteI have not, I'll have to check out his products. Thanks for the recommendation and the comment! Natural products are definitely the better choice
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a good use for it.
ReplyDeleteYayy!!! hope you love it as much as I do :)
ReplyDeleteYou should :) It's awesome
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful product. Thanks for your comment :)
ReplyDeleteGreat review! Glad to hear that you saw improvements!
ReplyDeleteI suck at taking care of my skin, but this looks like it is so good for skin. I need to get it!!
ReplyDeleteIt good that saw improvements, but personally I've never used any anti ageing even though I'm also 30
